This volume contains a selection of peer-reviewed papers, focusing on Slavic literatures, presented at the First International "Perspectives on Slavistics" Conference (September
17-19, 2004). There were two parallel colloquia, one focusing on Slavic literatures (PoS I), the other dedicated to linguistics (not included in this volume). PoS I was hosted by the Department of Slavic and Oriental Studies at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).
The contributions included in this volume offer a rich variety of new "perspectives" on Slavic literatures and cover a wide range of topics.
Edited by David S. Danaher and Kris van Heuckelom
