'This book with its juxtaposed photographs of two periods ironically recalls the photo albums of the communist era, in which scenes of the time before tyhe people's democracy were contrasted with later photos, to highlight the successes achieved under the party;s leadership. The allusion is ironic, because the purpose of the present book is not to make propaganda. On the contrary, it casts doubt on wether any progress at all has been made during this transition.
